- Halloween is from Hell
by Dr. Ken Matto
- (Deu 18:10 KJV) There shall not be found among
you any one that maketh his son or his daughter to pass through the
fire, or that useth divination, or an observer of times, or an
enchanter, or a witch,

“NEWNAN, Ga. (AP) - Across the Bible Belt this Halloween, some little
ghosts and goblins might get shooed away by the neighbors - and some
youngsters will not be allowed to go trick-or-treating at all - because
the holiday falls on a Sunday this year. "It's a day for the good Lord,
not for the devil," said Barbara Braswell, who plans to send her
4-year-old granddaughter Maliyah out trick-or-treating in a princess
costume on Saturday instead…”
Here we go again. The above paragraph is from an article which appeared
last week on Sermon Audio. The URL is above so you can see what is
irking these people. I think it is interesting that these people, some
who are obviously Christians, are not bothered by the evilness of
Halloween but just the fact that it falls on Sunday this year. They say
that Sunday is the Lord’s Day and not a day to celebrate the Devil. Now
that idea in Christian thinking is like saying that I won’t go out and
commit adultery on Sunday because it is the Lord’s Day, instead I will
commit adultery on Saturday. Since when do Christians serve God only on
certain days of the week?
(1 Pet 3:11-12 KJV) Let him eschew evil, and do good; let him seek
peace, and ensue it. {12} For the eyes of the Lord are over the
righteous, and his ears are open unto their prayers: but the face of the
Lord is against them that do evil.
The Bible teaches us plainly that we are to “eschew evil.” The word
“eschew” simply means “abstain, avoid, shun, or keep away from.” Do not
Christians understand that Halloween, with all its portrayal of Satanism
and the occult is purely evil? Have we been so dumbed down by watered
down versions and pulpit prostitutes that we can no longer tell the
difference between evil and righteousness? When Christians bask in the
merriment of a satanic holiday, what does that say about their
testimony? It basically states that their testimony stinks! How can they
stand in their churches and sing the old hymns and then send their
children out to celebrate a satanic day? Are those Christian parents
that dense?
All one has to do is read the history of Israel and Judah, especially in
Kings and Chronicles and you will instantly see that the worship of
false gods is what brought about their downfall. “Oh” says the NIV
paperback parent, “We are not worshipping false gods.” When one dresses
their child in a costume which mimics the dead, the occult like a witch,
or a mass murderer, then that child is dressing up to engage in a form
of worshipping with the world the god of this world. Christians are
called out of the world and we are to have nothing to do with the things
of Satan. (2 Cor 6:15 KJV) And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or
what part hath he that believeth with an infidel? The word “concord”
simply means agreement. When Christian children dress up for Halloween
with the approval of their parents, then that is showing an agreement
with the satanic ritual of Halloween which is the highest occultic day
of the year. It is at this time of year that many animals begin to
disappear from neighborhoods because they are taken to be used as
sacrifices to Satan. I am not making this up as many police departments
can verify this. I have spoken to an ex-police officer who told me that
many dead sacrificed animals were found in public parks on Halloween.
It is a shame that many Christians see this day as very innocuous
instead of really what it is all about. Halloween was non-existent in
this country till the great influx of Irish Catholics in the 1800’s.
They brought with them the satanic superstitions which accompanied Roman
Catholicism. Christians have their own day to celebrate and that is
Reformation Day when Martin Luther began to chip away at the
superstitious teachings of the Roman Catholic Church and began to bring
spiritual liberation to Europe. For many years in this country, a Roman
Catholic was not allowed to run for President of the United States. John
F. Kennedy was the first Roman Catholic to be elected to that office.
Roman Catholics have pledged dual allegiance. Their first allegiance is
to the Vatican and the Roman Catholic Institution and the second is to
the United States.
It is no coincidence that Reformation day is the same day as Halloween,
it is a God-Incident. God does not want His blood-bought children
celebrating Halloween but instead has given them a day with a rich
spiritual heritage. (Phil 4:8 KJV) Finally, brethren, whatsoever things
are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just,
whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever
things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any
praise, think on these things. Does Halloween fit into any of the
categories of Philippians 4:8? Absolutely not! So then why do Christians
dwell upon something as wicked as Halloween when we are commanded to
dwell upon that which is pure and lovely? Could it be that many parents
are ruled by their children instead of them being the parents?
Reformation Day fit’s the guidelines of Philippians 4:8 very well. The
Reformation brought the truth of the Gospel, honesty in doctrine, pure
study of the Scriptures, true praise of the true God, it brought us a
sense of doing right and wrong according to the Scriptures (just), the
true love of God for His redeemed children and not a veiled superstition
of our status before God, the true character of God toward His children
(good report), it taught us where we could find the true morals of
Christian living (virtue), and that we praise God and not the Pope or
dead saints. Now how does Halloween fit here or does Reformation Day fit
here when God began to open up the Scriptures to His people?
What incites me is that pastors and church leaders in many churches do
not see this day as evil but as an innocent day. How could anyone be
immersed in the Bible and deliver sermons on a continual basis and lack
total discernment between good and evil? (Isa 5:20 KJV) Woe unto them
that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and
light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!
With every endorsement of Halloween, church leaders weaken their church
and drive it away from the true and living God. (1 Cor 10:21 KJV) Ye
cannot drink the cup of the Lord, and the cup of devils: ye cannot be
partakers of the Lord's table, and of the table of devils. God will
remove the candlestick if truth from every church who chooses to adulate
Satan on that evil day. This shows how far we have come from the truth
of the Scriptures and the Reformation theology which sought to bring in
a true understanding of Scripture rather than the allegorical veil which
still hangs over many churches that obfuscates the true Gospel. By
Christians inculcating Halloween in their yearly list of celebrated
days, they have once again chosen to go back under the superstitions of
occultic religions.
When Halloween had its start, even before the time of Christ’s earthly
time, Druid priests were sacrificing people. We have all heard the term
Wiccan and we see it also as a brand or type of furniture. It is
normally considered outdoor or summer furniture because of its very
light but durable construction. There is a reason for that. In the early
days of Halloween, people were placed in wiccan baskets and were lowered
over a bonfire and as the people were burning to death in the baskets,
the Druid priests were prognosticating the smoke over their burning
bodies. Wiccan furniture is made that way because it is easy to burn. Is
the burning of a live human being innocuous? Is the murder of a human
being a thing to be celebrated by Christians? Halloween is the second
biggest day in the area of store sales. Christmas is the first. I wonder
how many millions of Christian dollars goes into the purchase of items
for Halloween and then these same Christians cry poverty when they are
asked to donate for missions to reach the lost. No money for God but
plenty for Satan! Then these same people cry when they lose their jobs.
Why would God want to fund Satan’s kingdom through His unwise people?
Alright, you are probably saying that I am nitpicking because individual
Christians don’t spend thousands of dollars on Halloween. Let us say
they spend $200. That is not out of the question between candy,
costumes, and decorations. Now $200 can fund the printing of 5,000 Bible
tracts from World Missionary Press. Wouldn’t you rather reach 5,000
people with the Gospel than have a bunch of tombstones and witches on
your front lawn? In most countries, tracts are read by many people which
means 5,000 could reach 25,000 or more. Now that $200 is just for one
family. Now multiply that times many thousands of unthinking Christians
who will partake in this evil day and that could add up to the
equivalent of millions of Bible tracts. I guess the real question is
what is your priority? On October 31st, will you serve the Lord God or
will you serve lord Baal? Choose you this day whom you will serve!
