Affected Teaching

“damnation” is changed to “judgment or condemned”

The unbelievers who are raised on the last day will indeed go into judgment but that is not their final destination.  The final destination of the unbelievers will be eternal damnation which is denied here in the modern versions.  1 Timothy 5:12 (KJV) Having damnation, because they have cast off their first faith.  Damnation is the final sentence for condemnation.  One is condemned to damnation.  For example, a Judge sentences a person to death for a capital crime and states in sentencing, “You are hereby condemned to death for your crime.”  Now is the punishment for the crime the condemnation or the death?  It is the death and that is the reason this verse is important and as we can see the modern versions soften the damnation of a guilty sinner simply because many of the editors of modern versions do not believe in hell.
