Affected Teaching
The Divine Title for the Lord Jesus Christ is “Christ.” This verse leaves out the witness that the devils had for the Lord Jesus Christ. They knew exactly who He was because before the rebellion of Satan and the fallen angels, they were up there with Him. The Lord Jesus had rebuked them and commanded them to stop speaking because the Testimony of who the Lord Jesus is was not to come from the mouth of devils but from the mouth of His children. (Psa 9:14 KJV) That I may show forth all thy praise in the gates of the daughter of Zion: I will rejoice in thy salvation. The modern versions leave out the fact that the devils knew who He was and this is important because it speaks of the pre-Bethlehem existence of the Lord Jesus Christ, in other words, His eternal nature. This is just another attack upon the Divine nature of the Lord Jesus Christ.
