Affected Teaching
The adverb “hebdomêkontakis” above carries with it the meaning of “seventy times” not “seventy.” The word “hepta” at the end of the sentence is translated “seven” and it is in cardinal form meaning it is a stand alone number showing a specific number and in this case it is seven. These are two separate words “seventy times” and “seven,” they are not one word meaning 77 or seventy-seven. Once again the King James Grammar shows its superiority over these modern versions.
