(KJV) Whensoever I take my journey into Spain, I will come to you: for I trust to see you in my journey, and to be brought on my way thitherward by you, if first I be somewhat filled with your company.

Affected Teaching
Paul had sent word to the Roman Christians that when he journeys to Spain that he will make it a priority to stop and come to them for a time. He was hoping to meet these Christians and to be refreshed by their company. The King James Bible teaches that Paul was going to make an intentional visit to them. The modern versions omit this and make it sound like, as Paul passes by, he will only be able to see them quickly in passing and have no time of fellowship with them which is not what the Scriptures teach. Paul loved to visit the Christians wherever he was and to fellowship with them. He had intimate fellowship with Christians wherever he visited.
