Sodomy: The Final Sin

(Lev 20:13 KJV) If a man also lie with mankind, as he lieth with a woman,
both of them have committed an abomination: they shall surely be put to death;
their blood shall be upon them.
While the sin of sodomy has been around for thousands of years, it is not until
our time that this sin has become so popular and endorsed by millions who are
straight. The governments of many countries have given approbation to this sin
even paving the way for sodomite marriage, something which has never happened
throughout all of history until this time. Sodomy has come to be known as
homosexuality. The word “homosexual” did not come into usage until 1892. That
was the year of the Trinity decision by the Supreme Court which declared that
the United States is a Christian nation. It is interesting that on the heels of
such an announcement that sodomy was about to be renamed.
Any sin which an unsaved person commits can and will send them to hell. If one
is a robber, they violate commandment number 8. If one kills, they violate
commandment number 6. If one commits adultery, they violate commandment number
7. It is interesting to note that sodomy was not included in the Ten
Commandments yet was included in the Levitical prohibitions as we read above. If
anyone looks at the Ten Commandments, we can easily see that they are being
violated today worldwide on a scale never before seen in history. Of course with
seven billion people in the world, the world is being readied for judgment and I
believe that judgment is very close.
The reason I state that the judgment is near because of the way the Bible treats
the sin of sodomy differently than all the other sins and we will get to that in
a little while. Sodomy has always been present in many past civilizations and it
was the sin that had brought them down internally.
Greece - Homosexuality was very rampant in ancient Greece.
Evidence has survived from the writings of Plato to pictures on vases and other
artwork. What was prevalent among the upper classes of ancient Greece was
something called “pederasty” which was when a grown man would make a young boy
his sex partner. This debauchery is still around today as such groups as NAMBLA
(North American Man Boy Lovers Association) is trying to legalize sexual
relations between a grown man and a young boy, as young as 5. God judged ancient
Greece and brought the empire to an end in 338 B.C.
Rome - Homosexuality was also rampant in Rome. Emperors like
Nero were sodomites and they hated the Christians and put many of them to death.
According to Edward Gibbon in his “Decline and Fall of the Roman Empire” that of
all the 15 emperors except Claudius were involved in Sodomy. Rome began a moral
slide in the second century B.C. by adapting the ways of ancient Greece
concerning sodomy and the adulterating of marriage. It was the Christians who
brought back the seriousness of marriage. Rome was never able to free itself
from sexual debauchery and eventually was conquered.
China - China has had a long history of homosexuality among its
people and because of such a long standing practice God judged them and in 1948
they became a communist nation losing their freedoms.
Japan - Homosexuality flourished among the Japanese culture for
centuries. Many Buddhist Monks took male lovers to themselves.
Celts - Aristotle stated that the Celts were also heavily into
homosexuality. The Celts history goes back to about 1200 B.C.
American Indians - Homosexuality was also rampant among the
American Indian with witnesses going back as far as 1776.

Homosexuality has been a part of the human race as far back as Sodom and
Gomorrha. The Apostle Paul was writing to the church at Corinth and was telling
them that they too had homosexuality among them but the ones he spoke with were
the ones that were delivered by salvation.
(1 Cor 6:9-11 KJV) Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the
kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor
adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of
themselves with mankind, {10} Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor
drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God.
{11} And such were some of you: but ye are washed, but ye are sanctified, but ye
are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God.
Then we come back to the book of Romans where the Apostle Paul pens this section
under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit.
(Rom 1:24-27 KJV) Wherefore God also gave
them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to
dishonour their own bodies between themselves: {25} Who changed the truth of God
into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is
blessed for ever. Amen. {26} For this cause God
gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women
did change the natural use into that which is against nature: {27} And likewise
also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one
toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in
themselves that recompense of their error which was meet.
I want to look at a very ominous phrase which is used twice in these three
verses. The phrase is “gave them up.” Those three words are one word in the
Greek and it carries with it the meaning of “handed over, given over, delivered
up.” No other sin in the Bible carries with it these ominous words that “God
gave them up.” God has saved thieves, adulterers, murderers, vile people, etc.
When it comes to the sin of homosexuality, God completely gives them over to it
which means a hardened heart comes with it.
Every other sin in this world has the same catastrophic effect on the souls of
those who commit them and yet in Romans 1, God is pointing out that those who
commit sodomy will be handed over to that sin. This may mean that those who are
partakers will not be able to become saved since God has given them up. In 1
Corinthians, homosexuals still were able to be saved. 1 Corinthians was written
about 54 A.D. while the book of Romans was written 56-57 A.D. In two years, God
writes in Romans that He has given them up to this sin. If you give something
up, then you are abandoning it or giving it away so you no longer have any
rights to it.
Out of all the sins listed, homosexuality takes center stage. Now let us bring
this up to today. What is the one sin which is being focused on and even
endorsed by the people of this world and also many Christians and churches? It is homosexuality. On every TV show they
slip in a sodomite relationship. Even the Rose Bowl Parade on New Years Day had
shown a sodomite marriage during the parade. A candidate cannot even take office
here in the USA unless they embrace homosexuality. Homosexual marriage is being
accepted in many states and the rest will follow. They are only 2% of the
population and yet they are determining the path for the other 98%. Through all
of this, the church has remained absolutely quiet and that is because this sin
must continue to bellow forth until the time God has appointed to destroy this
world and all its evil.
Why has the church remained quiet? Because the sin of sodomy must become as bold
and as public as possible. Why do you think people in sports or business or in
Hollywood or in the military are making public statements that they are “gay?”
It is because just as God focused in on the sin of sodomy, the world must see
enough of it to focus in on it. Of all the sins this world is committing, only
one major sin has come to the forefront.
Why has this sin come to the forefront in alignment with its openness found in
Romans 1? It is because the sin of Sodomy is an end time sign. This is why it
has been focused on and why the sodomite train cannot be stopped. It is a
fulfillment of prophecy which means that we are very close to the end of time.
This is why other sins, which have the same damming effect on the soul seem to
take a backseat because God has chosen to show how reprobate man can become when
they are given up to their own devices. (Rom 1:28 KJV) And even as they did
not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate
mind, to do those things which are not convenient; Here is the same word
used in Verses 24 & 26.
Summary
To summarize this article I would offer the fact that sin of sodomy has been
prophesied in the Bible to come to the forefront of the world which gives an
indication that we are very close to the end. Every other sin seems to take a
back door while this one is in headlines everyday somewhere around the world.
God has given them up and by that he is showing us how evil man can become when
left to his own sinful ideas. The last time we saw this scenario was in Sodom
and Gomorrha. Sodomy had reigned in these cities and God finally judged them by
completely destroying them and He will do the same to this world very shortly.
So don’t be surprised when this sin continues to permeate society, it is just
God fulfilling His master plan and one day the iniquity of the Amorites will be
full and then cometh the end!
