Look to the Lord, not The Stars

(Job 9:1-9 KJV) Then Job answered and said, {2} I know it is so of a truth: but how should man be just with God? {3} If he will contend with him, he cannot answer him one of a thousand. {4} He is wise in heart, and mighty in strength: who hath hardened himself against him, and hath prospered? {5} Which removeth the mountains, and they know not: which overturneth them in his anger. {6} Which shaketh the earth out of her place, and the pillars thereof tremble. {7} Which commandeth the sun, and it riseth not; and sealeth up the stars. {8} Which alone spreadeth out the heavens, and treadeth upon the waves of the sea. {9} Which maketh Arcturus, Orion, and Pleiades, and the chambers of the south. (Gen 1:16 KJV) And God made two great lights; the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night: he made the stars also.
A few weeks ago, NASA was very happy that their rover made it to Mars and successfully went to search the Martian landscape. The scientists are hoping to find the composition of the soil on Mars and the atmospheric conditions. All of this is in preparation for the hope that man will eventually establish a base on Mars. That base will be for living and for further exploration of the vast universe. It takes approximately 67 days traveling to Mars at 25,000 mph or 40,000 kmh. For a group of people to be able to stay on course for 67 days and to be able to escape the craft being hit by a meteor would be an absolute miracle. So before anyone can safely land on Mars, they will have to take the biggest risk anyone could take in their life. Meteors are no the only problem, there is also Solar storms or emission of solar energy from the sun which can completely destroy communications and send a craft off course by means of the instruments being disabled. Why would anyone want to leave Earth with the high possibility that they will never return?
One of the primary answers to that question is that someday if we travel to distant planets, we may be able to meet up with friendly aliens who will be able to give us all the answers on how to end disease, which would ultimately end death. Man wants to live forever on earth and is making every effort to reach out to the universe as their “god of life.” However, one of the big problems with that theory is that it will never happen. If there were any civilizations in outer space, then, they too, would have been affected by the sin problem which began with Adam and Eve. If that is the case, then the aliens that they meet might just decide to destroy the entire human race if they have weapons superior to ours. Unsaved man does not realize the predicament they would be in if they met up with sin cursed aliens. The problem is that our world has been enveloped in fantasy by such shows as Star Trek, Battlestar Galactica, Close Encounters of the Third Kind, First Contact, Lost in Space, etc. We forget these are only Hollywood productions and not real. We have shattered the boundary between reality and myth. If man does inhabit Mars, how long would it be before the first murder would take place, or till drugs showed up on the scene? Mars would become another garbage dump of human corruption. You see the problem that man does not understand, is that wherever they go, they bring themselves with their sin natures. Life on Mars would be no different than life on Earth. It is like a person with an addiction to Cocaine moving from New Jersey to Oregon. What would that do for his healing? He would just do Cocaine in Oregon.
What about those UFO’s that supposedly show up? What are they? These UFO’s are nothing more than demonic beings. Satan and the his demons are the only ones allowed to break the silence between the spirit world and our world. It is also interesting when you look at these UFO’s and the way they move. There is no way a craft of mechanical design can make a 90 degree turn at high speed. That can only be done by non-corporeal substance. If these aliens were real, then why are they always appearing to one toothed hillbillies loaded on Corn Liquor or a bunch of college students high on Cocaine? Why would they not land on the White House Lawn, Red Square, or in Beijing to meet with high level government officials? The reason is because they don’t exist. Crop circles are also being done by demons to try and get people to believe in aliens. Keep in mind the following verses:
(2 Cor 11:14 KJV) And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light.
(2 Th 2:11 KJV) And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie:
The Corinthians verse teaches us that Satan is transformed into an Angel of Light. When UFO’s are seen, they are normally lighting up the night skies or they have pulsating lights or something to that effect. The Thessalonians verse builds on the fact that if someone wants to believe a lie, then God will allow them to believe it and will continue to send them a great delusion. This verse does not only apply to false teachings but for anything. How many times we read about some evolution believing scientist finding a “missing link” and we know that this delusion was sent by God to enforce their false beliefs. Wasn’t Lucy supposed to be the proof that the Evolution community has been looking for?
Man is looking to the stars to find eternal life and will never find it, because eternal life is only found in the Lord Jesus Christ. Another reason that man is traipsing around the universe is in hopes that there is no God and that they will not be accountable for their sins. The Space program is man’s last ditch effort to try and prove that Evolution is right and Christianity and the Bible is wrong. As we see in the verses of Job, which is believed to be contemporary with the time of Abraham, which would place it about 2100 BC, three of the constellations were already named. How did a nomadic man like Job know the names of three of the major constellations? Plus how did he know of the existence of constellations in the south? If unsaved man would just ask the simple question of how could someone in 2100 BC, know the names of these stars groups? The same ones we see today. Where I live, I can see Orion in the winter time and it is my favorite constellation. If you have never seen a picture of the Horse Head Nebula within the constellation Orion, then do a search on the Internet and I am sure you will find a picture, make sure it is color. It is one of the most beautiful sections of the created Universe.
If the universe was expanding at the rate evolutionary scientists say it is, then from Job’s time to ours which would be about 4,000 years, we should not be able to see and recognize Orion as Job saw it. The fact is that the Universe is a very stable creation. If it wasn’t, then we would not be able to calculate space coordinates or even count on each rotation of the earth being 365 ¼ days. The Universe that God created and upholds with His power is so consistent and unwavering that we can set our clocks according to its accuracy. How can a true scientist look beyond the accuracy of an engineered solar system and claim it is random? It is because if they truly study the solar system, they will see that it is too accurate for randomness. They would then have to conclude and concede that it was designed by a master designer. Then they would have to seek the Lord instead of aliens, and that is what they fear. This is why we have a space program, because of the fear of unsaved man that there truly is a God. It is better to avoid Him, than to deal with Him. One problem with that theory:
(Acts 17:30-31 KJV) And the times of this ignorance God winked at; but now commandeth all men every where to repent: {31} Because he hath appointed a day, in the which he will judge the world in righteousness by that man whom he hath ordained; whereof he hath given assurance unto all men, in that he hath raised him from the dead.
Hey, we Christians don’t have to worry about that. May I make a suggestion for those in the Northern Hemisphere, bundle up and go outside at night, and look at one of the most spectacular creations of God, the winter night sky. If possible, purchase a Rich Field Telescope of about 15X and you will see unbelievable beauty in the sky. (Psa 19:1 KJV) The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament showeth his handiwork. (1/23/04)
