Affected Teaching
In Acts 11:26-30 we read where Paul and Barnabas were dispatched from Antioch for the purpose of bringing an offering to the needy Saints in Jerusalem. When they had finished their task, according to Acts 12:25 they returned from Jerusalem back to Antioch. The word “ek” in the Greek text of the King James Bible is the correct word because it means “from or out of.” It is a prefix used in the word “ekklessia” which means a callout assembly. Paul and Barnabas were returning to Antioch from Jerusalem and not returning to Jerusalem from Jerusalem. The modern version editors had no concept of what they were saying. Instead of looking at context and asking the question “How do you return from Jerusalem to Jerusalem,” maybe they would have seen the error and corrected it. The next time Paul and Barnabas go to Jerusalem is found in Acts 15. The problem with modern versions is the more errors you have, the easier it is to get a copyright. Even the Jehovah's Witness Bible got this one correct!
