Affected Teaching
Once again the modern versions completely ruin a factual
verse. When the Lord Jesus Christ
rose from the dead, He ascended into Heaven.
The King James uses the proper word because the word “into” shows a
definite final destination. The
modern versions use the word “through” which means Heaven was not his
destination but he was just passing through them to another destination.
It is like I am going into a building which means the building is my
final destination but if I am passing through the building, that means I am
continuing on out the other side as I am just passing through.
A very big difference. The
modern versions agree with the Roman Catholic and Jehovah’s Witnesses
counterfeit versions.
So then after the Lord had spoken unto them, he was
received up into heaven, and sat on the right hand of God. (Mark 16:19)
After the Lord Jesus Christ ascended He sat down at the
right hand of God the Father. He
sat down, He did no pass through to some other destination.
And said, Behold, I see the heavens opened, and the Son
of man standing on the right hand of God. (Acts 7:56)
When Stephen was giving his homily to the Sanhedrin, he
said that he saw the heavens opened and the Lord Jesus Christ standing at the
right hand of God the Father. He
did not pass through to some other destination.
Who is he that condemneth? It is Christ
that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of
God, who also maketh intercession for us. (Romans 8:34)
The Apostle Paul declares that Jesus is at the right
hand of God the Father when he penned Romans which was about 57-58 A.D.
The way the modern versions translate this verse is they are denying the deity of Christ as he sits at the right hand of God the Father.
