(CEB) They asked, “What must we do in order to accomplish what God requires?”

Then they asked him, “What must we do to do the works God requires?”
(NET)
So then they said to him, “What must we do to accomplish the deeds God
requires?”
The
CEB, NET & NIV add the word “requires” making it sound like God requires certain
works for salvation. God requires
no work for salvation since salvation is all of the Lord. Jonah 2:9 (KJV)
But I will sacrifice unto thee with the voice of thanksgiving; I will pay
that that I have vowed. Salvation is of the LORD.
