Affected Teaching
Here is another case of the modern versions reducing Deity. The word “Holy” before Ghost is the word that shows the difference between the Holy Spirit who is the third person of the Godhead and the word spirit alone, which could be speaking about anything such as the “spirit of the age.” In fact, in both the Byzantine Text and the Stephanus text, the word in the Greek for holy is capitalized to show that it is speaking of the Holy Spirit and not just a generalized use of the word “spirit” as it appears in the modern versions. It is specifically speaking of the Holy Spirit.

Back
