Affected Teaching
(John 3:2 KJV) The same came to Jesus by night, and said unto him, Rabbi, we know that thou art a teacher come from God: for no man can do these miracles that thou doest, except God be with him. The modern versions omit the fact that Nicodemus came to Jesus by night. They make it sound like he just saw Him a few minutes ago by leaving out that portion. Nicodemus came by night because he feared the other members of the Sanhedrin. The spiritual lesson here is that we all come to Jesus by night and when He saves us, He turns our night to day.
