Affected Teaching

“among themselves” is omitted – AMP, ESV, RSV, Voice change to “saying to him”

 

Some of the modern versions change “among themselves” to “saying to him.”  The disciples were speaking among themselves and no doubt Jesus was with them but they were not directly addressing Him as they posed the question of “who then can be saved?”
