Affected Teaching
Here is another example of the meaning of a verse
being mutilated. The King James states that unto the Christian it is “given them
to know” the mysteries of the Kingdom and that would be by means of the
indwelling Holy Spirit. The modern versions state that they would be given the
mystery of the Kingdom. There is a big difference between being given something
and knowing something. For example, someone gives me a radio and then tells me
that I will know how the radio operates versus someone just giving me a radio.
Once again the inferiority of the modern versions shines through.
