Affected Teaching
Matthew 24:36 in the modern versions are in violation of Revelation 22:18. (Rev 22:18 KJV) For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book: In this week’s verse we have an addition to the text. Apparently, whoever made this addition was trying to match the verse with Mark 13:32. (Mark 13:32 KJV) But of that day and that hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels which are in heaven, neither the Son, but the Father. Nevertheless, it was not part of Matthew 24:36 and therefore is a violation of Scripture by addition.
