Manuscript Evidence for the 16 Missing Verses in the Modern Versions
By Dr. Ken Matto
The modern versions omit sixteen verses as if there is
no evidence for them and they do this to continually attack the true word of God
found in the King James Bible. The
King James Bible contains all these verses because they are definitely the word
of God. We must never allow
unbelievers with degrees who think they know what God placed in his word and
then subjects these verses to their scrutiny.
There were Roman Catholics and apostate Protestants who took up the art
of higher criticism and textual criticism.
Remember both of those groups are in the kingdom of Satan and do you
honestly think that the sovereign God of this universe is going to hand over his
word to a bunch of unbelievers and request that they correct what he could not
do? If you honestly believe that,
then you are showing yourself to be an unbeliever.
These sixteen verses which are omitted or bracketed in the modern
versions have manuscript evidence proving they are the word of God.
This article would also be good for those who defend the King James Bible
giving you the evidence for these sixteen verses which you can present to those
you are speaking with.

Cyprian (200-258), recounts the story of Philip and the
Eunuch to include this missing verse.
In the Acts of the Apostles:
“Lo, here is water; what is there which hinders me from being baptized? Then
said Philip, If you believe with all your heart, you may.” (Cyprian, Treatise
12, Book 3)
The Latin Vulgate Bible 157 A.D. - Thus it appears that as early
as the 2nd century, there was some tradition or text that was known to contain
the verse. Translated from the Latin it says, “Philip said, ‘If you believe
with all your heart, you may.’ And he replied, ‘I believe that Jesus Christ is
the Son of God.”

Summary
Whether these verses are found in 2 manuscripts or 20, it means that those verses existed in ancient manuscripts. If they did not exist, then how could they be written in the manuscripts corresponding to the particular verse? The word of God was already being corrupted while the Apostle Paul was still living. For we are not as many, which corrupt the word of God: but as of sincerity, but as of God, in the sight of God speak we in Christ. (2 Corinthians 2:17) The word “corrupt” in the Greek carries with it the meaning of “adulterate” which carries the meaning of “make impure, pollute, infect, or contaminate.” Definitely the modern versions have contaminated the true word of God by their constant adding and subtracting words and phrases. With each new version that comes out, they become more apostate. Stay with the King James Bible as you are on solid ground.
