Affected Teaching
Once again we see the name of the Lord Jesus Christ broken up. In this particular verse the name of “Jesus” is omitted and they use the term “Lord Christ.” The name Jesus is important because it gives specific identity of who the Lord is and who Christ is, otherwise in the day we live in, the identity can be changed to a new age teacher such as Maitreya.

“Maitreya also reveals the true pronunciation of the sacred name of the Lord” from: http://www.maitreya.org/english/HOLYNAME.HTM 

As you can see that one website proclaims Maitreya as “Christ” and one proclaims him as “Lord.” This is why it is important that the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, when written like that in a verse, must remain unbroken. It gives specificity as to whom the Christ and the Lord is.
