Virtual Reality
By Dr. Ken Matto
Beware of
the Chick Tract “Virtual Reality.”
On Page 15 & 16 of this tract, they have a fictitious Jesus appearing at the
foot of the bed. It seems that
Chick tracts is now endorsing apparitions and visions.
You can click on the link below and scroll down to pages 15 & 16 and you
will see the apparition plus they have included what they think Jesus looked
like. No one knows what Jesus
looked like plus we are forbidden to make any picture of Jesus.
These fictitious pictures are also found on pages 18-20.

Forasmuch
then as we are the offspring of God, we ought not to think that the Godhead is
like unto gold, or silver, or stone, graven by art and man's device. (Acts
17:29)
The tract
is “graven” which means “scratch or etching” and etching is a synonym of the
word “drawing or print.”
I wrote to
David Daniels who heads up Chick Publications on March 26, 2020 and so far I
have received no response and the tract is still as he wrote it.
We are both in agreement that the King James Bible is the true word of
God but what good is having the true word of God if we are not going to abide by
its teachings. Here is the letter I
wrote to David:
“Dear
David,
I hope this
letter finds you well. I received
my sample copy of the new tract “Virtual Reality” and as I was reading it a
portion jumped out at me which may cause controversy.
On pages 15-16, it shows a picture of Jesus standing at the foot of the
bed of the lead character in the tract.
I would suggest that you reconsider that section since Jesus does not
appear to people in that manner.
Ever since the Scriptures were completed and our beloved King James Bible was
given to us the way we reach people is to teach and preach the Bible and I know
you know this. This way the Holy
Spirit will do the work of conviction.
The tract could be misconstrued as endorsing signs, wonders, and
apparitions. We are commanded to
walk by faith and not by sight.
Having purchased Chick tracts and other materials for 39 years, I know that is
not the official stance of Chick Publications.
That is why I am contacting you by letter to keep it private so you can
make a determination as to which way to go.
Keep making those YouTube Videos.”
So then
faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. (Romans 10:17) The
Bible teaches that faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God not
faith comes by seeing an apparition or a vision.
The day of visions are over since the Bible became completed in 95 A.D.
(For we walk by faith, not by sight:) (2
Corinthians 5:7) It seems Christianity has reversed the truth of this scripture
and now Christians walk by sight and not by faith.
As it stands as of April 16, 2020 I have not received back any response from David.
